Erin fell in love with Jonathan when he was just a little baby assistant at Sally Hershberger Salon. He begged Erin to stop coloring her own hair, and then took her under his wing, put her in a stained Cheetos shirt and he colored her hair in his old apartment in West Hollywood. Years later, Erin was working as a political writer and director at Funny or Die. She was in his chair, getting her roots done, when he started recapping "Game of Thrones" to another client. It was hilarious and full of female gender pronouns and he didn't know anyone's real name. Erin immediately saw the potential to take the bro-y nerd recap show format and subvert it with an unexpected, queer, fierce opinionated hair magician. The next week they were watching the show when Jonathan realized that the show he thought was "Game of Thrones" was actually another fantasy show. Hilar. He committed to learning all the insane story lines and characters from the first two seasons and was off and running. In 2016, the web series was nominated for an Emmy. And in 2018, Jonathan debuted as part of the "Queer Eye" reboot.
