Emmy and Thurber nominee Erin Gibson is an expert at mixing feminist commentary, political satire, and absolutely goofy jokes into neat little comedy packages. She’s one half of Attitudes!, an award-winning political absurdist comedy podcast, international live touring show, and late night show that humorously tackles LGBTQ+ and gender issues with the grace of a drunk clown.
She developed her social commentary chops at Second City Chicago and UCB LA, then as the host of feminist media round up ”Modern Lady.” She wrote and directed political sketches for Funny or Die, where you've also seen her impersonate terrible people like Michele Bachmann, Megyn Kelly, Michelle Duggar and Ivanka Trump. While there she also created the long running Emmy-nominated “Gay of Thrones” starring her then real-life hair stylist, Jonathan Van Ness. Erin’s been featured on talking head shows and sitcoms in her former life as an actress/comedian.
Her Thurber nominated book of essays, "Feminasty: How to Survive the Patriarchy without Drinking Yourself to Death" has been profiled in publications like Cosmopolitan and InStyle. Bust Magazine said “Gibson is as sharply funny as she is unabashedly feminist. Damn smart, too. Each of the essays in this book is an eye-opening lesson in how the patriarchy is working against us, and how to fight back.”
Erin is currently showrunning a two-season order of the WB/Amblin feminist reboot of her favorite childhood cartoon, Tiny Toons Looniversity. She has two films in production, both with strong female leads and a dramedy pilot in development at FX about caring for Boomers.
